Race for Life 2011

On Friday 27th May QA Weld Tech employees, Margaret Brazier and Karrie Roberts, took part in the 2011 Race for Life, the UK’s biggest women-only charity fundraising event. Since Race for Life began an incredible 5.4 million participants across the UK have raised over £362 million to fund the work of over 4,000 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer.

Finishing the 5km event in a record time (for them), Margaret and Karrie raised a fantastic £1500 between them and would like to thank all the people and organizations that sponsored them. They would also like to point out there is no truth in the rumour that they have been contacted by Hollywood to take part in a remake of the 1981 classic film Chariots of Fire.
