Coffee and cakes all round as staff enjoy The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Watching the waistline was given the day off at the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September, Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. People and companies all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone £27 million was raised and hopefully this year thousands of events like ours will contribute to making it the most successful year ever.

QA Weld Tech to Host Site Tour to PVMF

QA

Due to the beast of the east that recently graced its presence in the UK, we recently had to rearrange the site visit to QA Weld Tech for representatives of the Pressure Vessels Manufacturing Forum (PVMF).

The visit will now take place on 11th April where members of the forum will be given the opportunity to visit our nine adjacent workshops, in particular looking at our impressive pressure test set up.

This provides an excellent opportunity for members within the networking group – which includes 15 leading UK pressure vessel manufacturers – to share industry knowledge and other prominent topics such as material production processes and legislations. Events such as this allow the industry to improve through this knowledge exchange approach.

QA Weld Tech Achieves Fit for Nuclear Accreditation

F4N

After passing a series of rigorous measures, we are delighted to announce that we have successfully been awarded the highly sought-after Fit for Nuclear (F4N) accreditation and are now recognised as a reputable provider in the nuclear supply chain.

F4N was developed by the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC) to help assist UK manufacturers secure work in the nuclear sector. It was established to create an industry benchmark allowing companies to measure their operations against the standards required to operate in a complex sector and close any gaps in doing so.

The achievement of the F4N accreditation comes on the back of QA Weld Tech recently securing both the ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 quality standards, highlighting our core capabilities to deliver renowned services to the very highest industry requirements.

The F4N accreditation will open up many doors, contribute towards QA Weld Tech establishing its business within this growing sector, making us a recognised, highly creditable supplier with nuclear buyers and showcasing our commitment in supporting the UK’s nuclear programme.
